Cetuximab with chemotherapy prolongs survival in head, neck cancer

A European study has found that adding the targeted therapy cetuximab to a first-line chemotherapy regimen that includes cisplatin or carboplatin significantly prolongs survival for patients with head and neck cancer that has reduced or spread.
